4-core Phenom 9100E, Phenom 9150E and new Athlon 4850E, 4450E and 4050E will be released in the 1-2 quarter
Most recently, we mentioned one of the younger models of energy efficient
processors, – Phenom 9100E. Now the source gives a little more data on
this and other models.
It became known that in the first quarter of this year, AMD will introduce several energy-efficient 4-core
processors of the Phenom family, and will also release new dual-core models of Athlon processors.
Launch of the Phenom 9100Е, which has an operating frequency of 1.8 GHz, 65 W
TDP scheduled for this quarter, due out in February-March. At the beginning of the second quarter, there will also be a model
Phenom 9150E. There is no exact data on the differences between the models yet, but it is reported that the Phenom 9150E
will be based on the later stepping – B3. This was reported to the source directly by motherboard manufacturers in Taiwan.
In addition to them, the company will release three 2-core models of the family
Athlon: Models 4850E, 4450E and 4050E, which also belong to the energy efficient class
Cpu. Athlon: The 4850E will feature 1MB L2 cache, 2.5GHz and support
DDR2-800 memory. Athlon 4450E version will have a frequency of 200 MHz less. The third novelty will be clocked by another 200 MHz less
– 2.1 GHz Athlon 4050E.
But the novelties do not end there. AMD’s Power Savings Proposals
still enough. It will also present 45 W processors: Athlon LE-1640
(2.7 GHz, 512 KB L2) due out in January, with Athlon LE-1660 coming in Q2
(2.8 GHz, 512 KB L2). Reports from AMD will follow shortly that in connection with the release of new
processors “low-power”, the company will start withdrawing Athlon X2 BE-2400 models from the market,
BE-2350 and BE-2300, Athlon LE-1620, Athlon 64 4000+ and 3800+.
