Sony announces Alpha 300 and 350 SLR cameras
Last week Sony announced two new products in the DSLR category. Alpha 300 and 350 are entry-level hobbyists. The resolution of the 23.6×15.8 mm CCD sensor used in the Alpha 350 is 14.2 megapixels, in the Alpha 300 it is 10.2 megapixels.
The most notable feature of the cameras is support for Quick AF Live View technology, which provides automatic focus and sighting on the built-in monitor. 2.7 ” diagonal LCD Live View is movable. Quick AF Live View combines the convenience of a camera with high-speed autofocus in both normal viewfinder and Live View modes, the company says. Burst speed is 2.5 fps (with viewfinder), 2 fps (Live View).
Another important advantage of the cameras is the Super SteadyShot image stabilization system. Integration of this feature into the camera allows you to take advantage of stabilization when using non-stabilized lenses. Cameras are equipped with NP-FM500H lithium-ion batteries (7.2 V, 1600 mAh, up to 730 shots with viewfinder sighting, up to 430 – when using LiveView) and equipped with a sensor dust cleaning system. Automatic focusing system – 9-point.
