A few weeks before the final version of Mac OS X 10 is released.5 Leopard Apple has revised system requirements for computers that will run the new operating system.

Apple did not officially announce the system requirements for Leopard, but the accompanying documentation for the test builds indicated that the new OS will run on Macs with Intel or PowerPC G4 800 MHz or faster processors. Now, according to sources from the Apple Insider website, Apple has removed from the list of supported computers those equipped with an 800MHz PowerPC G4 processor – 800MHz PowerBook G4 (Titanium), 800MHz PowerMac G4 (Quicksilver), 800MHz iMac G4, 800MHz iBook G4 and 800MHz eMacs, as they are too slow with Leopard.

The same source told the website that in the next version of Mac OS X – 10.6 – support for PowerPC processors is not planned at all.
