Performance Technologies Expands AdvancedMC Family with Intel Core 2 Duo AMC121 Processor
High-performance dual-core microprocessors are increasingly becoming a part of not only servers, desktops and laptops, but also embedded systems. A good example of this is the AMC121, a new addition to Performance Technologies’ AdvancedMC (Advanced Mezzanine Card, AMC) processor module family.
Designed for telecommunications, aerospace, defense and industrial systems, the new product is built on the basis of the Intel Core 2 Duo processor, which provides not only increased performance, but the possibility of a smooth transition from 32-bit computing to 64-bit, while maintaining the x86 architecture.
The AMC121 is configured with a 1.5GHz processor, up to 2GB DDR2 PC3200 RAM, USB2 ports.0. The card is equipped with AMC interfaces.1 (PCI Express x8), AMC.2 (2 x 10/100/1000 Ethernet) and AMC.3 (SATA). Product Dimensions – 73.5 x 180.6 x 28.95mm.
Earlier in the AMC family, the AMC111 module was released based on the AMD Turion processor and the AMC131 module based on the Freescale 8641D PowerPC processor.
Currently, according to the company, the product is available “in limited quantities.”.
