ASRock AliveNF5SLI-1394: nForce 560 SLI enthusiast motherboard
Until recently, ASRock was not one of the manufacturers focused on the enthusiast segment, releasing products mainly optimized for creating media centers based on them, and budget office solutions.
Times are changing and ASRock’s next product, AliveNF5SLI-1394, is clearly aimed at the gaming segment of the market.
It is based on the NVIDIA nForce 560 SLI chipset and has as many as three PCI Express x16 interfaces (two of which, however, operate in x8 mode).
The board is designed to work with AMD Athlon 64FX / 64 X2 / X2 / 64 / Sempron processors. It supports up to 8GB DDR2-533 / 667/800 MHz memory.
The manufacturer notes its proprietary patented ASRock AM2 Boost technology, which will allow by automatic overclocking to get up to 15% additional memory performance.
