AMD officially unveils ATI Radeon E2400 GPU

AMD Expands ATI Radeon E2400 GPU for Embedded Systems. The company notes the high performance of the product, which will be in demand in applications such as test equipment, HMI devices (kiosks, vending machines, ATMs), large information screens, medical equipment, gaming machines and all kinds of applications with support for multiple monitors. A feature of the product will be guaranteed availability for five years and a long-term technical support program.

Processor supports Microsoft DirectX 10 and OpenGL 2.0. It uses a 65nm process technology for its release. ATI Radeon E2400 is based on the well-proven Unified Shader Architecture. The product is equipped with 128 MB of built-in GDDR3 memory, which makes it easier for designers to reduce the size and cost of the devices they create. According to the company, high performance in the processor is combined with a compact size.

For applications where low-profile solutions are required to meet tight space constraints, AMD offers the ATI Radeon E2400 MXM-II module, which conforms to the MXM-II open standard specification. This compact graphics subsystem includes an ATI Radeon E2400 core and 256MB of GDDR3 memory.

Serial deliveries of ATI Radeon E2400 should begin this month. In addition, visitors to the Embedded World 2021 exhibition, which will be held from February 26 to 28 in Nuremberg, will be able to see the novelty.
