MSI P6NGM and Q35MDO – two motherboards for Intel processors
In the range of Micro-Star International (MSI), there are two more new products designed for Intel Core 2 Duo and Intel Core 2 Quad processors: a P6NGM board based on the NVIDIA MCP73 chipset with an integrated GeForce 7 graphics core and a Q35MDO (MS-7358) board based on Intel Q35 Express Chipset with Intel vPro Support.
The P6NGM board (top picture) supports a maximum FSB of 1333 MHz and, according to the manufacturer, is the first product in its category to support HDMI. Other features include the presence of PCI Express x16 and PCI Express x1 slots, four SATA2 ports with support for RAID 0/1/0 + 1/5, multi-channel audio subsystem (7.1 HD Audio) and Gigabit Ethernet network adapter.
Q35MDO (second shot) uses a combination of Q35 and ICH9DO to support Active Management Technology (AMT) 3.0, Matrix Storage Technology (MST), Trust Execution Technology (TXT) and Virtualization Technology (VT). Like the first new product, the board is equipped with an integrated graphics subsystem (GMA 3100). Key features of the Q35MDO include support for upcoming 45nm Intel multi-core processors with 1333MHz FSB. The board has one PCI Express x16 and one PCI Express x1 slot, two PCI slots, six SATA2 ports. Moreover. the configuration includes a multichannel audio subsystem (7.1 HD Audio) and Gigabit Ethernet adapter.
Both boards are designed for DDR2 800/667/533 MHz memory modules.
