GSI Technology Launches Serial Production of 36Mbit and 72Mbit SigmaQuad-II and SigmaDDR-II Memory

GSI Technology Announces Mass Production of 36 Mbit and 72 Mbit SigmaQuad-II SRAMs in Normal and Extended Temperature Range. A feature of SigmaQuad-II products is the presence of two ports that operate independently at double the frequency, which ensures the transfer of four data words per clock cycle. SigmaDDR-II memory allows data transfer at double the data rate on a common bus.

According to GSI executive David Chapman, the addition of these products to the company’s portfolio allows us to offer customers the widest range of products, including models with different bus widths, up to 36 bits, high speed and low power consumption.

SigmaQuad-II with 72 and 36 Mbps supports transmission rates up to 278 MHz (packets of two devices) and up to 333 MHz (packets of four devices), while 72-Mbps and 36-Mbps of SigmaDDR-II products in both configurations support frequencies up to 333 MHz. Available in x8, x9, x18 or x36 bus widths for easy interfacing with numerous network and digital signal processors.
