Logitech Announces New Logitech Z Cinema Advanced Surround Sound System Aimed at PC Users Who Use Their Computers as the Main Component of their Entertainment Systems.

Z Cinema uses SRS TruSurround HD technology to simulate surround sound from two satellite speakers and a subwoofer. Z Cinema delivers 180W RMS maximum power through a triple-amp design with digital crossover (spectral) equalizer. The new product uses hybrid class D and class AB amplifiers, each of which generates an independent signal regulated by an equalizer, which minimizes distortion.

Logitech engineers used laser tuning to design a set of diffusers that generate significantly less distortion than diffusers designed solely from acoustic measurements. Thanks to this, 1 “fabric dome tweeters, 3” ventilated midrange drivers and 8 “subwoofer with a large operating amplitude provide more accurate reproduction of the entire spectrum of sound frequencies and individual sound nuances.

The Logitech Z Cinema Advanced Surround Sound System is expected to ship in the US and Europe at the end of January at a suggested retail price of € 300.
