EMC Symmetrix DMX-4 – First Industrial Data Storage with SSD Storage

EMC Corporation announced yesterday that it has become
the first manufacturer of industrial data warehouses to use
solid state drives (SSD) flash memory.

The first such product was the Symmetrix DMX-4 system, which was included in
company portfolio. Symmetrix DMX-4 is Noted as World’s First Storage
data of this kind available on the market.

Symmetrix DMX-4 Flash drives are single-layer cell technology
(SLC), they are complemented by fast controllers for ultra-high
read and write performance. At the same time,
a high degree of reliability and data integrity, which is important for applications of such
kind.

Due to the low power consumption of flash memory, the manufacturer has become
it is possible to record 1 TB of data, while consuming only 38% of the energy,
