Silicon Laboratories doubles the memory capacity of miniature microcontrollers

Silicon Laboratories, a High Performance Mixed Signal Processing IC, Announces New C8051F336 Miniature Microcontroller Family. The new 8-bit devices are fully pinout and pinout compatible with the Silicon Laboratories C8051F330 family of devices, differing from them by twice the flash memory (depending on the model, the memory size is 2-32 KB).

According to the manufacturer, additional memory, combined with high-performance peripheral blocks, will help electronics designers modernize existing projects by adding new functions to the firmware, while maintaining the low cost and high reliability advantages inherent in Silicon Labs miniature microcontrollers.

8051-compliant, pipelined F336 core executes instructions in one cycle, delivering 25-100 MIPS throughput. The list of on-board peripherals includes A / D and D / A converters.
