Dec 17, · A while ago I wrote a post for LoveMyTool about how I managed to power my Garland Gigabit TAP with a USB cable, which got me into a discussion about the ProfiTap USB3 device on Linkedin. I had used Mbit USB2 ProfiTap devices before and had some issues with it on Linux, so I was a bit skeptical towards the new ProfiShark 1G as well. More precise release date for AMD triple-core processors announced
As you know, in September, AMD announced the release of the Phenom X3 (Toliman) tri-core processors for desktop PCs. Then, the first quarter of next year was named as an approximate date for the appearance of these products on the market.
AMD recently notified its motherboard partners that the first two models of Toliman triple-core processors will be available in February 2021, according to an update from the source. Models numbered 7700 and 7600 will be rated at 2.5 and 2.3 GHz, respectively. TDP value will be 89 W. Well, let’s wait for February, but for now you can see the results of the first tests of the AMD Phenom X3 triple-core processor.
By the end of the second quarter, there will be two models of dual-core processors, which are now known under the code name Kuma. Recall, according to other sources, Kuma processors will be released in the Athlon family, not Phenom and are expected on the market earlier – this year.
In addition, AMD plans to add a single-core Athlon (Lima) LE-1640 to its entry-level processor line in January 2021. More powerful Lima models will be released in the second quarter. The release of another budget model – Sempron (Sparta) LE-1300 with a clock frequency of 2.3 GHz and a TDP of 45 W is scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.
